The metal-plastic gaskets  They are formed by a core of soft material (FM, PTFE,graphite, etc) partially or totally covered by a ductile metal sheet. The quality of the materials for a metal-plastic gasket It must be chosen according to the working pressure and the fluid with which it will be in contact. Thanks to their compressible and light structure, they are more suitable than the totally metallic ones in high pressures and temperatures.

The metal-plastic gaskets They can be made with one or more ribs arranged in different configurations. They can be manufactured based on standards such as ASME 16.20 or according to specific customer specifications. The most commonly used materials for the manufacture of metal-plastic gaskets are as metallic material: copper,aluminum, AISI 304, 316L, 321, soft iron and as filler material: mineral fiber,graphite, PTFE, etc.

The metal-plastic gaskets They are manufactured in the most diverse circular, oval, rectangular, square, rhomboid shapes... These joints have no limit on dimensions, however, depending on the limitation of the commercial width of the materials, sometimes they require the use of welding which is carried out following approved welding procedures. The standard thickness is 3.2 mm. although depending on the use, this may be higher or lower.
