RTJ Gaskets

The boards RTJ They are indicated in applications of high pressures and temperatures. They are designed to be housed in flanges with specific slots. The contact surfaces of the gasket, as well as the flange, have to be carefully machined and finished. They are especially suitable for very high pressures, up to 1000psi. The material of the RTJ gasket must be softer than that of the flange itself to avoid damage to its faces.

This product can be presented in 4 different profiles, although the most common are Octagonal and Oval.

They are mainly used in oil installations, in drilling equipment and in valve and pipeline assemblies and in some high-performance pressure vessels.

Oval RTJ for standard flanges. As with all solid metal ring gaskets, it is recommended that the gasket be replaced when the connection to the flange is deteriorated. The surface finish of the sealing faces of the gaskets.

TG30 must not exceed 1.6 um Ra / 63 in RMS. CPI-PRODYSOL type TG30 joints can be manufactured according to the following standards or according to plans:

  • API 6A
  • ASME B16.5
  • ASME B16.47
  •  SERIES A
  • BS1560

Octagonal RTJ for standard flanges. As with all R style solid metal ring gaskets, it is recommended that the gasket be replaced when the connection to the flange is deteriorated. The surface finish of the sealing faces of the TG31 gaskets must not exceed 1.6 um Ra / 63 in RMS. CPI-PRODYSOL type TG31 joints can be manufactured according to the following standards or according to plans:

  • API 6A
  • ASME B16.5
  • ASME B16.47 SERIES A
  • BS1560

BX TG32 ring gaskets are manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.20 standards. API 6A and API 1D, designed for use on API 6BX flanges and in pressure rated systems up to 20,000 psi.

When installed correctly, the BX TG32 gasket allows for face-to-face flange contact which means the gasket is fully confined on both diameters. The surface finish of the gasket sealing faces, TG32 must not be greater than 0.8 um Ra / 32 in RMS.

The RX style TG33 is a retrofit designed to fit the same gasket groove. The geometry of this modified design induces a pressure trigger when the assembly is pressurized, improving the efficiency of the joint.

 Las juntas de anillo Estilo RX son completamente intercambiables con los diseños de ranura Estilo R estándar. Se debe tener cuidado al intercambiar estos estilos pues las juntas RX son más altas y agregarán longitud al ensamble final.
