  • Excellent electrical properties.
  • The SBR rubber sheet offers good properties with the added advantage of being able to present greater resistance to high temperatures or aging.
  • It is commonly used in the mining industry or industrial environments subject to high degrees of abrasion that require materials that guarantee a long useful life and maximum performance.
  • Excellent mechanical properties, moderate to tear.
  • Lower resilience compared to natural rubber.
  • Good resistance to aging and temperature. Its resistance can be increased with a suitable formulation.
  • Temperature range: between -50ºC and 110ºC.
  • Good chemical resistance to many inorganic chemicals, but poor to oxidizing acids.
  • Limited resistance to mineral acids, not being suitable for organic liquids in general.

They have excellent mechanical and abrasion properties.

  • Its resilience is somewhat lower than that of natural rubber at low hardnesses but higher from 60ºShore A.
  • They have good adhesion to metal.
  • Its resistance to oils, greases and hydrocarbon solvents is comparable to that of a low-medium content nitrile rubber.
  • Regarding its chemical resistance, it is resistant to inorganic chemical products except oxidizing acids and halogens.
  • It is not resistant to most organic compounds, except alcohols.
  • They are self-extinguishing, that is, although they burn under the action of the flame, they do not propagate combustion and go out as soon as the flame is removed.
  • Impermeability against gases.
  • Excellent resistance to weathering, oxidation, ozone and heat.
  • Very low resilience, which provides a high shock absorption capacity or non-sustained vibrations.
  • Low permeability to air and gases in general.
  • Excellent in contact with vegetable and animal fats and oils.
  • Temperature range: between -45°C and 130°C, and even higher, with suitable formulations.
  • Moderate resistance to abrasion and set compression.
  • Resistant to most inorganic chemicals, mineral acids and alkalis.
  • Limited resistance to oxidizing chemicals.
  • With reinforcing loads a high breaking load can be achieved.
  • Good electrical properties.
  • Resistance to oxidation, weathering and ozone, with an extraordinary inalterability of color, precisely for this reason inflatable boats are manufactured with this material.
  • Impervious to water and acids.
  • Excellent aging.
  • Very good resistance to hydrocarbon solvents.
  • Temperature range: between -35ºC and 140ºC.
  • It has good flame resistance and is self-extinguishing.
  • It resists most inorganic chemical products, except chlorine, concentrated acids and oxidants.
  • Moderate resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons.
  • VMQ Silicone used in a wide variety of applications in the field of medicine. They are absolutely unalterable by ozone, weather and ultraviolet radiation.
  • Compared to other rubbers, they have low mechanical properties (breaking load, elongation and tear) although they remain constant even at high temperatures. However, it is not advisable to subject them to pressurized steam. They are considered among the elastomers as the best electrical insulators. 23 KV/mm according to DIN VDE 0303.
  • Fluorinated rubbers have an extraordinary resistance to temperature, continuously +250ºC without losing their mechanical properties. In intermittent up to 300°C.

Sheet Manufacturing Tolerances

In the production process of rubber articles, many factors intervene that can affect the final dimensions of the product, such as the proportion of materials used, curing and post-curing times, vulcanizing temperature and pressure, or the insertion of other materials. Even the conditions of humidity and temperature during storage can alter the conditions of a flexible product such as rubber.
